How We Met

Almost 9 years ago, by pure chance, we ended up on the same vacation in Punta Cana. Our travel agent, Mariela, had planned the trip, and little did we know, it would change everything. We first noticed each other back at the airport in Miami, but it wasn’t until four days later, on July 20th, 2016, that we officially met. We spent the rest of our vacation getting to know each other, and when we returned to Miami, we kept the connection alive with dates and endless conversations. Fast forward to today, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Now, exactly 9 years later to the day, we’re getting married at the same place where it all began—the Dominican Republic!
The Proposal

Two years ago on Valentine’s Day, Yeidy thought we were keeping things low-key. After work, she came home to a big balloon and a surprise gift in a corner of the living room. She walked over to check it out, and when she turned around, she found Hansel on one knee, holding a Ring Pop (which we still have preserved). He popped the question, and of course, it was an easy “YES!”

This is the nearest airport to Playa Esmeralda in Miches, Dominican Republic. We suggest you plan to arrive at least one day before the wedding to ensure you’re all set for the big day!

The nearest airport (PUJ) is about 1.5 hours from the hotel. Transportation will be coordinated as we get closer to the travel day and flights are confirmed. Check back here for updates but expect to pay anywhere between $20 and $90.
